Coyote #1
Date: 1/13/2012
Location: Wilson County,TN
Time: 8:15 AM CST
Temp: approx. 27 deg
Wind: north west gusty approx 10-15
No. of Stands: 5
Game Seen: 1 coyote, 40-50 turkey, crows and several nervous cows
Game Shot: 1 coyote, male, healthy and good size, wgt unknown
Weapon Used: 223 40 gr v-max
Calls Used: J-S Preymaster using desperate cottontail along with Coyote bark/howl
Notes: with 1/2" snow, setup #1 & 2 were around fields- nothing seen. #3 I decided to head into the woods, approx 25 yds form edge. With the wind in my face, thick woods out front, started calling with Desperate cottontail, aprox 1 min later I added the coyote bark/howl (both at same time). At approx 3 min after start, I hear leaves rustling (along with the wind blowing). I spotted movement in the thickest part of woods approx 50 yards out. Coming straight in and fast, I got on him and "woofed" , he stopped, I shot, he spun once, I shot again, DRT 22 steps from setup.
Helpful hints: Always have scope on lowest power and be mindful with most AR / scope extra high mount setups the point of aim can be 2-2.5" higher than the point of impact @ close ranges.

good job buddy, Way to adapt & overcome.
I went this morning also but no luck
I think the round is supposed to be between the front feet/legs, but double check me.
Nevermind, see it in the first pic on the glove.
