Wind was light
Was warm man around 60 at 3000ft today.
Clear sunny and just nice out.
I made two stands first was back to the power line right of way that I thought looked so good called there started with a light squeaker then on to some rabbit blues and after 20 min made a few howls and waited another 10. Saw nothing that was alive must have ran every bird and critter all the way off the mountain.

Second stand me and a buddy set up on a large ridge him on one side me on the other just down the ridge from each other we called back and forth with bird and rabbit distress sounds for 20min then did some barks and howls back and forth for about 10 min saw no coyotes or had no answer back to our howlers. Did have a hawk come in to check out or noise. Sounded good to me. Was a great day to get out first time I have called in January in a long sleeve camo T-shirt.

Hoping to Get out some more soon there has to be at least one dumb coyote around here somewhere.

Sometimes I HATE calling in the east! I think you did everything right and still had nothing to show for it!

It is like last year when I wanted the LOW end of the gene pool for coyotes. Razz Why can't I find the STUPID coyote?

Made 2 stands myself today with no luck except for the two 8 point bucks and 1 doe that hung around for 15-20 min. Had 2 seperate packs howling as i was walking back to the truck in the dark. They definately aren't stupid. Lol

From every one I have talked to that have heard or saw coyotes in the last week or two have been right in town. Think all the dogs have moved off the mountain and to town for the winter. Wander if any one would be upset if I made my next set up behind the Wal Mart. Smile

I also saw a dead yote on 40 heading east right outside of Lebanon.
