So I made 2 stands between 0630 and 0930 this morning...then I got in my truck to drive thru the open hills and fields, enclosed in the 700+ acres I was hunting at, to the next spot I wanted to set up at.

As I topped the hill I was scouting, there he was. About 40 yards in front of me. Beautifully colored with lots of red and black hair mixed with silver in spots.

Of course after a brief glance at me and my truck, he trotted toward the tree line as I tried to get out of the drivers side. He made the short 40 yard trot before i could even get the rifle out of the back seat.

I went ahead and set up their and tried to call him back but he had other plans I guess.

Oh well, still got the adrenaline going and he was one of the prettiest I have seen in a long time.

adrenaline is a helluva drug !

glad your at least seeing them. I've been in the woods all wknd and all i have to show is a empty 223 brass from a missed bobcat.
Maybe the cold that's supposed to be here in couple weeks will bring them out.

MPD, Reagan16 told me about your luck this morning, better than his though! I sent him a pic of the one my claimed this morning. We made the first two stands on 300 acres of deer heaven with not so much as smell! Made a last ditch effort and went to some public land that coyotes have been seen on lately and found scat all over the road but nothing fresh. Called for about 30-40 minutes when one male came trotting in looking for the e-caller. The people that live around the area we talked to afterwards said they have only been hearing them really late at night and rarely seeing them. It was 10 o'clock before this one came in..

If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those under tyranny.
